When Deanna Mayles entered the Pikes Peak APEX, a four-day mountain bike event, she showed up on flat pedals with little experience. She finished 10th and surprised the field full of seasoned veterans and herself. Two years later, the quality engineer at SRAM has her sights set on professional mtb racing, the Life Time Grand Prix, and outriding expectations.
Professional racing has a chance at making Deanna Mayles a household name, but it isn’t her chosen career. When she’s not churning out miles on her bike, she’s a reliability engineer at SRAM.
