But it may be an even better strategy for dealing with the large climate challenges, environmental struggles, and cultural change needed to preserve our planet.
1% for the Planet is a nonprofit organization aimed at pushing businesses towards marginal gains: One percent of annual revenue to environmental causes. We became the first cycling apparel brand to join their collection of businesses aimed at bettering the environment back in 2017, and today the commitment helps guide our outreach to programs that believe in A Better Way.
In 2022, we donated to climate advocacy groups, trail building organizations and programs focused on increasing underrepresented riders throughout the cycling world. 1% for the Planet underscores our financial giving, but it is also a belief we have in being better as a brand.

As Velocio moves into 2023, it does so with one more product: A special edition Bivo bottle calling attention to the work 1% for the Planet is doing.
Bivo Bottles, created as an alternative to the millions of plastic bike bottles thrown out each year, is a natural pairing to our continuing effort in finding a better way.
Stripped to the essentials, the raw bottle minimizes extra materials, finishes, and colors in favor of a laser-etched pattern that brings the intent of the collaboration all the way through the design.
All proceeds of the 1% Bivo Bottle will be donated to 1% for the Planet.
