WATER RESISTANCEUsing the latest and most advanced version of Polartec’s renowned Alpha insulation, by adding merino wool, the Alpha Merino Air jacket punches way above its weight in terms of warmth, breathability and performance. Alpha Wool is used as interior insulation on the sleeve, front and collar, while Pertex Quantum Air provides an ultralight wind and water resistant barrier to help trap heat while maintaining class-leading breathability. The back panel of the jacket is made from fleece-backed italian milled recycled polyester to aid in breathability and mobility.
Likely our most technical riding jacket ever, the Alpha Merino Air uses our proprietary 3D patterning and carefully engineered on-bike fit for a super streamlined fit and covering a wide range of temps and conditions.

ALPHA MERINO
The key to warmth without weight is the all-new Alpha Wool from Polartec. This novel version of the award-winning Alpha insulation incorporates merino wool fiber for added thermoregulation and moisture management. The body, sleeves and collar are all lined with this super soft and breathable insulation layer.
PREMIUM BREATHABILITY
The back panel of the jacket is made from a special recycled microfleece-lined, Italian-milled polyester, providing the highest levels of breathability while maintaning stretch for mobility, and a super soft touch.
3D FIT
Using a similar patterning to our proven Signature Softshell Jacket, the Alpha Merino Air features 3D patterning for exceptional on-bike fit.

Our jerseys and bib shorts are intended to be form fit, providing compressive support, maximizing performance of the fabrics, and reducing fatigue and chafing. Due to the compressive nature of the fabrics, you will be able to fit into more than one size. Please use the charts below to help determine your optimum size:
- Find your weight along the top of the table.
- Look down the column to find your appropriate size.
- Each size has a height range based on weight.
- If you find that you are on the upper or lower end of height and weight for a given size, the garment will have more or less compression respectively.
- Use the Dimensions Details chart to further dial in your fit.

A very interesting jacket. It looks very elegant, and hides so much skill. very pleasant mix of materials, very cleverly thought out everything. the collar is pleasantly soft, the inside of the front and sleeves as well. It is still warm even when it is wet. I need far fewer layers underneath with this jacket to keep me warm.

United KingdomBest winter jacket I’ve ever owned.
I have this jacket in both Red and Moonrock and both colours are amazing. The jacket is incredibly warm but also breaths so you don’t get too sweaty on the climbs. I wore this over a Velocio Merino Long sleeve jersey and a base layer in 0 degree weather and I was toasty warm. I also love the fact that it has pockets as many winter jackets don’t, so you can still reach everything you need during a ride. I would give this more stars but it only goes up to five. A must-have bit of winter kit.

Technically brilliant high performance jacket
Hard to describe how good this jacket is as there is very little else out there that is comparable. The alpha merino is warm, breathable and a super fit. Highly recommended.

good fit according to fit&size guide and nice fabric (the name of the product is Men´s Alpha Merino Air Jacket, but the label says 51% recycled nylon and 49% regular nylon - so I asked myself where is merino?)

Excellent warmth and temperature range. Use in dry weather. Very light and supple. Would recommend to size down as it is very stretchy, thinking esp of the back pockets flap which stretch out more than expected when loaded. I am 187 cm, 78 kg, chose S after trying M. I like it tight though.
